Commercial / ATPL / Instrument Ground School
Pilots need to meet practical requirements for the type of aircraft they want to fly and need to pass eight written exams controlled by the CAA.
Deal Alliance’s initial focus as a ground school was to present structured, full-time ground school courses in preparation for these exams. Recently, our training has become bespoke and subject focused to suit the individual’s learning style and available time.
Aim of our training
We aim to provide the participant with foundational knowledge that spans all subject matter enabling real learning to take place. Students who have benefitted from our individual attention have a greater success rate in passing the subject exams first time.
What we offer
Deal Alliance only offers individual bespoke training per subject. We try to accommodate the student’s time frame and learning style. Our expert knowledge and practical experience is invaluable in helping the student assimilate the knowledge required across all the required technical subject matter.
Requirements to write
CAA regulations require that the candidate has followed a training programme with a CAA-approved Aviation Training Organisation before being permitted to write a CAA exam.
FAQS
Do I have to follow a set course before being permitted to write the CAA exams?
CAA regulations require that the candidate has followed a training programme with a CAA-approved Aviation Training Organisation before being permitted to write a CAA exam.
How long does the training last?
As the training is bespoke, the number of hours will depend upon the student. The more self-study that can be done the fewer training hours will be required. The important point is to be able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding to our lecturers before you will be ready to attempt the CAA exams.
Does the ATO provide questions for me?
We balance all the content lectures with applicable questions from our own database. We recommend that the student also invests in their own data base purchase just before the exams.
Where does the training take place?
Training is conducted at the Deal Alliance training venue at Signature Flight Support Cape Town International Airport.
Does the ATO do the bookings for the exams with the CAA or is this up to me to do?
No Deal Alliance does not take responsibility for booking your exam dates. This is your responsibility.
