   Deborah qualified for her Private Pilot's Licence in 1977, and obtained her Commercial Pilot's Licence and Instructor's Rating before joining the instruction staff at the Cape Aero Club. Deborah has since gained much experience flying for the Red Cross and as both first officer for Nationwide Airlines and more recently with South African Airways as a first officer on Boeing 747-400s.
